This began with a beautifully done tree block by quilting friend Kristina
for the Rainy Day Challenge at Faithful Circle Quilters, many years ago.
I won the blocks in a drawing and have made several small wallhangings
featuring them. The bold print Northern Lights fabric was a gift from
friend Deborah, who bought it at a quilt shop in Alaska. It reminds me of
a trip to Canada, where I saw the Northern Lights flashing overhead.
The binding is one of my blue hand-dyes.
