I've wondered since I saw the the facinating gothic comedy "Nothing But Trouble" which nobody else seemed to like, if the surreally decayed victorian coalfield hamlet of "Valkenvania", which was set some place off the New Jersey Turnpike- was actually some forgotten corner of the Pine Barrens region. Also check out F.Paul Wilson's "The Barrens", which appears in the book "Cthulhu 2000" by DelRey
P.S.- Most New Yorkers don't say "Joisey"- just the ones from the area where Long Island meets the mainland ("the Big Apple", "Gotham", "Silvertown", "New Amsterdam", "Empire City", "the 5 Bouroughs", "Ciudad de Neueva York" or whatever name might more specifically identify it. Favorite memory? Well, when you guys were Seniors, I was a lowly Frosh. We all looked up to you. My memories of 1969-70 were of Music Man, Bob Jacobs great b-ball season,& Mr. Hurley leaving as principle. I was just trying to survive with all the "Big" kids.
