In these troubling times the need for God and His help and
instruction has never been greater.
God
doesn't want anyone to be lost. He wants everyone
to come to the knowledge of the truth, to repentance and
salvation (I Tim. 2:4, 2Pet. 3:9, Jn. 3:16, Jn. 8:32. Lk.
24:47).
The great, almighty God, Creator of all things, has not
left us to flounder in our own fantasies, myths, erroneous
doctrines and man-devised religion. He has given us all
the information we need to be pleasing to Him, to have salvation,
peace of mind, and to know where we are going when this
life is over. It is in His word, the Bible, where we learn
that Jesus Christ has all authority in religious matters
and in our daily lives, that He alone is Lord, that He alone
has made the

rules and shown the way for us to walk
in this temporary life on earth, that we may enjoy eternal
life with Him in heaven after a while; that when we submit
to His will and obey Him through faith He makes us a part
of His church, the only church mentioned in His word,
the church of which He is the Savior; that He neither rejects
nor excludes anyone in the world who comes to Him in
faith, with a humble heart, and submits to His authority,
that we need not give heed to any other religious system,
no matter how prominent among men, that we can overcome the
evil influences of the world through the strength that He
provides, relying on His word, His grace, and His power.
You are invited to join in the study and discussion of God's
word with the Christians
who meet at 23 S. Margaret St. in Joliet IL |
