Once we face facts and rationalization sets in, the healing can begin.

This poem was written to show the finality of, and my ultimate realization of, the personal loss of my beloved Wife.

SILENCE

Have you heard the silence of night,
when nocturnal's Chirp,Croak, Howl, and Yipe, and small wings flutter while heavy wings swoop in flight?

Oh, how terrible the silence, if these sounds would cease,
leaving behind a horrible everlasting quiet peace.

So it is with me.
Once I spoke to a loving, caring ear, so very willing to care and hear,
but never-more will it be, until we meet in eternity.

How horrible this silence is to me without a loving ear to hear; Without the loving care to share.

My burden weighs heavily upon my soul and I cry for fulfillment, but indeed I know.

The silence has come.
