get updates

UPDATED 11-23-08

I've provided a variety of ways to find out if and when this site – and the rest of my sites – updates. There is the Status Report that details what's new and coming on this site. I have similar pages on my other sites. There is my new Updates Blog (Replaces the old bulletin board) where I post all updates and other pertinent news.

Then there are two mailing lists that I maintain for posting site updates. The first, All My Fanfiction, was made for just the fanfic site, but I've expanded it to include updates for all sites. The second was set up for my Crazedwriter's World site. That, too, now includes updates on everything. I had a third on Notifylist but that was dumped in favor of my Yahoogroups and Messagebot.
I keep and maintain both lists for subscribers' convenience. Why have people subscribe to separate lists when one will do?

If you want "Right now" site updates sent directly to your inbox, please subscribe to any one of the lists linked below. You don't have to sign up for both lists – just one will do. And you don't have to have an ID or login to subscribe to either list. All you need is a valid email address. While subscribing to a list is optional, it may be to your advantage to subscribe since I post all updates via the lists first – before I post to the blog or edit the Status Reports pages.

NOTE: Only the Yahoogroups list is open for member postings. The other list is essentially a one-way newsletter – Subscribers cannot post messages. All replies must be sent to list owner.

If you already have a Yahoo ID, you may go directly to the group home page and sign up from there.
While Yahoo! may want an ID or profile, I do not require a Yahoo! ID and/or profile to subscribe – For the most part it is not needed. However if you want access to group features — polls, links, photos, etc. — an ID will be needed.
Mailings for that list go out at least every two weeks if not sooner. It is also open for member posting.
