Mix bread crumbs, onion, and seasonings. Add meat and mix well. Then mix in egg thoroughly. Mix in chili sauce and enough juice to make a soft loaf. Sprinkle celery flakes on bottom of 9" loaf pan. Pat in meat mixture. You may top with additional chili sauce. Bake at 350° F. for 1 hour.
Notice there is no salt in this loaf. You may add salt and a little pepper to taste.
This is my aunt's recipe. She made this for my grandfather who was on salt-restricted diet.
