The smell of the sea in the air, the feel of its moisture on your body, its sounds as it comes to you and then pulls away, the waves that rise, break, and fall away; these are the irresistible qualities of the sea.

Always moving, its waves roll ashore bringing shells, bits of coral, sand fleas, and anything else that gets caught up in the rollercoaster ride that is the tide.

Then just as quickly it pulls away again leaving its marks in the sand along with all the treasures that have become part of it abandoned on shore.

This vastness, greater than your mind can encompass, carries you away to a place without earthly cares and takes you to a realm of complete peace.
