Greetings Posters! I have listened to some of your suggestions on how posts are being made and have come up with the following guidelines. Long threads are fine if they do not push new posts to the next page (101-200) where they could be overlooked. Let's say that you have been gone from the group for a day or so and when coming back, you read the posts you have missed on page "101-200" or higher. Instead of responding to a long thread on these back pages, start a new post with a new subject line, then in the body of the post you can refer to post to which you are responding. When responding to one person's post in a thread, put their name in parens ( ) after the subject. If you want the group to be included, add (ALL) after the ( ). One thing to avoid in responding to a thread is starting an off topic "chat" with someone. Instead, start a new post. When responding to a "roll call", if you are more than a day late in checking in, start a new post with a subject like "Late for Roll Call". When starting a new post, try to minimize posting old recycled jokes--they may seem new to you, but believe me they are old to most who will be reading. And PUHLEESE, do not post Blonde jokes or racial or religious jokes that may be offensive to any of the group. I hope these guidelines do not discourage you from posting, but instead will encourage more of you to jump in and post away. :>) Joni
