What Satan Fears Most

What Satan fears most is a man on his knees;
Not vast marching armies with great weaponry.

He knows he can stand against the power of men;
To engage us in battle is mere sport to him.

But a man on his knees with his head bowed in prayer
Is something quite different, To the prince of the air.

For when he sees us in prayer to our God most high,
He knows we have seen through his devilish lies.

That's why Satan fears most a man on his knees;
And we'll keep him trembling if our prayers never cease.

Old Fashion Grace

How can a lady who yearns to please God
Find courage and strength while treading this sod,
To stand against sin, and virtue embrace?
Only by praying for Old Fashioned Grace.

With might to oppose the course of this world,
Where Satan's swift darts against her are hurled;
And grit to endure, maintaining the pace,
She labors with joy and Old Fashioned Grace.

Her husband can trust she'll ever be true,
She's modest and chaste, prays for him too:
The joy of His Saviour he is able to embrace.
He's married a wife with Old Fashioned Grace.

Depending on God, her children she'll guide,
to live for the Lord, while safe by her side.
Grown up in their youth, yet knowing their place,
They learn to come boldly, for Old Fashioned Grace.

The lost see her works and learn of her Lord,
Her witness is sure, declaring God's Word;
And women at church her footsteps retrace,
In kindness and love, with Old Fashioned Grace.

King's daughters adorned in gold of Ophir,
All glorious within, with meekness and fear,
When brought to the King, beholding His face,
Remember to thank Him for Old Fashioned Grace.

Prayer In School

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses,tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
It's scary here I must confess,

When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!

Amen

THE KING IS COMING

The King is coming, I know He is,
Though I don't know when it will be;
Maybe on a day just like this
He'll return for you and me.

I know He said He would come again
And for that day every soul should yearn,
For then you'll feel no more sorrow or pain,
If to Jesus you will turn.

He'll stand with arms spread open wide,
And all the Heavenly host will declare,
That He's come to take His holy Bride
To rise and meet Him in the air.

The dead in Christ will be the first to rise,
For they have waited for so long,
Then we will follow close behind
As we join the Heavenly throng.

So are you watching and waiting for your King
To come and take you to His side,
Where forevermore His praise you'll sing
As His pure and holy Bride.

For He will come, of this I'm sure,
So keep looking to the sky.
Then with Him we'll reign forevermore -
