Spring Prom at Wharton Jr. College.

She was mad and I was bothered!

Christmas Prom at Wharton Jr. College.

Why is she smiling? Is it my hair?

Magnificent!

The wedding dress was almost as beautiful as my bride.

I am still in awe of Carolyn and continue to learn about her. Today (June 22, 2002)40 years after the wedding, while cleaning she found a napkin from the reception.

She also found the love letters I wrote to her while I was at Southwest Texas State College. Some of the things I wrote make me blush today. I am so lucky she allowed me to marry her.

After the wedding/honeymoon there was a period of time of just us two. I always think of them as the days of joy even though we were poor as churchmice. We were so close because we were all we had. Lordy, I would go back to those days at the drop of a hat. I love my kids and grandkids but they are all the result of my love of Carolyn.
