Changing Calibration Known Values for New Cylinder Gas

Changing Calibration Known Values for New Cylinder Gas

When a calibration gas mixture is replaced there is a possibility that the new gas mixture will not be exactly the same concentration as the old cylinder. Because the difference between known and found is an indicater of instrument usability the known value reported must be the value on the certificate of analysis. This value is also usually marked on a tag on the cylinder valve. To change the values within the data system follow this procedure:

  • Find the Boiler #4 CEM data system in the Evaps Control Room.
  • 2. Click on Boiler #4 CEMS button. That will bring up a screen that looks like the picture above. Along the right edge toward the bottom under the yellow Maintenance buttom is a button labeled SETTINGS. Click on it and a screen that has an area in the upper right that looks like that below will appear.
