wig
I was just sitting here thinking about a nurse that I used to work with every day in SICU. She was blond, heavy (won't say fat), great personality, always cheerful.

She was also a loud mouth, very talkative and a flirt with the docs. She always wore a blond wig with every hair in place. The patients loved her for her witty ways and jokes.

One day we had this unruly patient and it took all of us to care for him. He was a hitter and a kicker. Well we got into a tussle with the unruly twerp and he grabbed at blondie while she was trying to calm him. He grabbed her cap and of course her wig came off with the cap. He threw it in the air and it landed by a patient's bed. It startled the patient and she screamed. She thought that blondie lost her head. Took some doing to calm her down and to convience her that blondie was fine.

Speaking of Blondie, that was the first time we ever saw her with a loss for words. I can still see her standing there with her mouth wide open and no words tumbling out.

She was a sight to behold. Her real blond hair was uncombed and very thin. Mystery solved as to why the wig everyday.
