Fried Green Beans |
1 can of green beans, I prefer the green beans with the shell beans. 1 can of potatoes, whole, sliced, or diced 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper 1/2 cup diced onion 2 slices of bacon, cut up in small pieces 3 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil (evoo) 2 teaspoons of butter or margarine, I use butter. Melt the butter with the evoo(olive oil) in a skillet and add the green pepper, onions, and bacon. Cook until the onions are transparent. Drain the cans of green beans and potatoes. Add to the above skillet. Mix the beans and potatoes to coat with the oil and fry until heated thoroughly. Serves 2-4. Yummy! |
