Rude
We had a patient that tried our patience. She was rude and hateful to all that worked the floor. I know she was just an angry lady that could not accept her fatal illness.

She died one day while still in the hospital. I had to work the 12-8 shift the night of the day she died.

We had just finished first shift rounds and was going about the little things in regards to charting and setting up meds for our shift. We heard the call light ring. We looked on the call board. It was the room our late patient had occupied. The room was empty as it had not been assigned to another patient. I was elected to answer the call light. I went to the room and turned the light on.....no patient.

This happened several times so we just turned off the light at the desk. Everytime we passed by the computer, her xray and lab reports were on the screen. If we looked up another patients reports, for some reason or another, her reports would pop up after we read the reports on the other patient's results.

The day shift finally came on and we told that just before she died, she said that we would not be able to forget her.

If you really want more stories, I will tell them as I think of them. You know that I have fibro fog occasionally and have trouble recalling what I just said 5 minutes ago. Do you really want to read them?
