Don't You Dare
July 9, 2002
One time I was making spaghetti and meatballs for the family
including my sister and her two kids and my Dad. I was putting the
spaghetti on a hugh plate and to make it look nice I was lining the
meatballs around it with some of the sauce poured on top. My husband was
standing right there and telling me I should just throw it altogether in
a pot the way his Mother did. I told hm I just wanted to make it look
more appetizing. and he kept it up. Told him I was going to let him have
it if he didn't get out of the kitchen. He said "You wouldn' dare",
Haha, wrong words. I threw it at him and wow! it went all the way into
the dining room onto the stucco walls, blue, all over the kitchen,
splashed onto the fridge, the table, even over onto the sink. We had a
little kitchen where we cooked, off the big one where the fridge and all
were. What a mess, I had 2 lbs of spaghetti on that plate surrounded
with meatballs. Well let me tell you, I never realized how far that
could go when you throw it. Oh man, did I cry, while he laughed and
watched me clean it up. of course I had to laugh too but took me the
whole evening to clean up. These rooms were big, the kitchen was 12 by
15, and the dining room was 12 by 12. so you know when it hit the dining
room wall it was quite a distance. I will never forget that, and Lyn
never dared me again cause he knew I would do it. LOL. Another time I
was at a pool and being older hadn't dove off a diving board in years.
These friends of mine dared me, I climbed that ladder and it looked like
the pool was the size of a wading pool, I was so scared I was going to
do a flop instead of a good dive, but I guess once you learn to dive you
don't forget, I dove in and made a good entry into the water. But that
was the last time I did that. Haha I was always ready for a dare when I
was young. Like someone daring you to go ask someone to dance with you.
or asking a guy for a ride on a bike. I wouldn't never do anything like
that without someone pushing me on with a dare. Oh the memories. Told
you I could write a book, and these are just a few. haha.
