Butter vs Margarine

I use butter and sometimes I have left it sit out and have never had rancid butter. I like it soft. but truthfully, 1 stick of butter will last me a a full week unless I cook something. When I think of margarine, I still think of those days when it was a big white block and you added coloring, during WW2 and you couldn't even buy butter unless you had enough stamps.

Subject was the health benefits of using butter instead of margarine.
