| I figure everyone is so busy working, they don't have time to bake. Bad
enough with shopping, cleaning and decorating. My kids all have such big
trees, takes hours. Linda's tree is almost 10 ft tall, of course
artificial, it always looks like it should be in a mansion. One thing
her living room is big with 15ft ceilings so the tree doesn't overwhelm
the room. Last year I made Choc. chip, oatmeal with raisens and nuts.
pecan cookies, and one with coconut and carrots with orange icing. They
are a little extra work, and of course that is the favorite one. then i
dipped pretzels, made bullseyes, and fudge. I had 15, 2lb tins of
cookies and 15, 1 lb tins for the candy and pretzels. so you know I was
sort of busy in the kitchen. That is what happens when you have a big
family, my kids. my 2 sisters, and their families plus grandkids, but
what a great night. After our get together I heard a knock on the door,
and haha, here all my kids and nieces and nephews plus the grands were
all at the door and sang a few Carols, and my favorite Rockin Round the
Christmas tree, Have to decorate by the 20th cause that is the nite of
our family party. Boy I start out with one subject and go all the way
round by Calif, and back to Jersey. before I finish. Have a nice day. |
