Sharing Grand Kids

Don't feel bad Patti, I have 10 grands and 3 greats that I will share.

When I lived in my old hometown, I had friends with little kids and they all called me grammie. Two of the families were from the Phillipines, one had 3 girls, the other 3 boys, and they all called me grammie, just because they heard my own grands call me that.

Also there was a little black boy named Charile, He was so cute. When I first sold my home and moved to an apartment he lived down the street. I was loading groceries and he offered to help me, He wasn't 4 yet I told him he would have to ask his Mom, since he didn't know me.

He went running to ask her, "She said it was ok". I asked him if he was allowed to have a cookie, (never know if a child is diabetic or something), He said "no, he didn't want one, but he would have some pudding". He had seen the containers when I put them in the fridge. I didn't see him for a couple of weeks, then one day, he was outside and he came running to me, told me he knew my name, I laughed and asked him "What is it?" and he answered, "Grammie". I asked him how he found out and he told me that he heard it when one of my grands was visiting and we were outside.

So don't worry about not having any grands, there is always a little kid around that is just looking for someone to call "Grammie". I always just loved it and felt proud that they adopted me. Now they are all grown up and not in the area.

Patti asked if she could join grannies even though she had no grandchildren
