| Thanks for the memories of Gene Autry. I remember going to the movies
every Saturday afternoon and they always had a serial of some cowboy
movie, Would show for 10 weeks and always leave you with a cliff hanger,
so you would be sure and want to see the next part the following week.
Saw many with Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Tom Mix, Hop Along Cassidy, of
course the Lone Ranger, and am sure others. Years later in the early
50's, I saw some of the same shows on tv. My kids watched them and I
used to tell them how it took 10 wks to see the end. For 25 cents, I
went to the movies, then after that walk over to the beach and get a
hot dog and a soda. Can you imagine? haha. 10 cents for the movie, 10
for the hotdog and 5 for the soda. Feel sorry for the kids today.
