Wanna go to a parade?

9 shopping days left....

The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers
Written by Ballard MacDonald & Leon Jessel
Additional lyrics by Stephen Sullivan

The toy shop door is locked up tight
And everyone is quiet for the night
When suddenly the clock strikes twelve
The fun's begun
Now, dolls are in their best array
There's going to be a wonderful parade
Hark to the drum
Oh, here they come
Cries everyone!

A loud bang - the cannons are exploding
And the cries from the crowd now fill the air
The choir sang the anthem of our nation
And the Marching Band is drawing near
Here they come, here they come
Here they come, here they come
The  Parade has just begun

The Color Guard is now in sight
The clowns are dancing and they're making lite
The Lions roar, the Banners soar
The fun goes on
All Uniforms are pressed today
And buttons shined for this wonderful parade
Hark to the drum
Oh, here they come
Cries everyone!

Hear them all cheering
Now they are nearing
There's the captain stiff as starch
Bayonets flashing
Music is crashing
As the Wooden Soldiers march
Sabers are clinking.
Soldiers are winking
At each pretty little maid
Here they come, here they come
Here they come, here they come
Wooden Soldiers on Parade

Hear them all cheering
Now they are nearing
There's the captain stiff as starch
Bayonets flashing
Music is crashing
As the Wooden Soldiers march

Sabers are clinking.
Soldiers are winking
At each pretty little maid
Here they come, here they come
Here they come, here they come
Wooden Soldiers on Parade

They're marching, They're marching
They're marching all around the room
The Parade is now ending
All Toys return, it's daylight soon
Barely speaking, dollies are sleeping
By the toyshop window glass
Soldiers are jolly, Suzie meets Paulie
Dreaming of the night that's past

When in the morning without a warning
Toyman pulls his window shade
There's no sign the Wood Brigade
Was ever on a Toy Parade
The toy shop door is locked up tight
Everyone has had a busy night
The Toyman now unlocks the door
The fun is done

Now, everyone is back in place
Each dolly has a smile on her face
They'll have to wait for twelve o'clock
THE TOY PARADE
