Notes For Font Installation in Windows XP.

This procedure assumes that a font has been downloaded to the computer from the internet. It's location is at "My Documents" sitting there within a zipped folder.

Unzip the font by right clicking on the font folder and selecting "Extract....". The Wizzard extracts and presents you with the extracted font.
Click on the font to hi-lite. From the side menu click "Copy this file". When the prompt comes up select and click "My Documents".



1.0 Go to: START/ SETTINGS/ CONTROL PANEL. Locate the "Fonts" folder and double click it to open.
Now click "File" then click "Install New Font"
There you should see:
a "list of fonts" text box,
and two menus one is labeled "Folders", the other is labeled "drives".

2.0 Chech the "drives" menu to see if it displays "C:HP_PAVILION". If not select it.

3.0 Go to the "Folders" menu and double click C:\.

This brings up "Documents and se..." Double click it, to display "Owner".

Doble click "Owner" it to bring up "My Docoments".

Click "My Documents". NOW LOOK IN THE "list of fonts" text box. The font name should be there.

4.0 Double click on the font name within the text area. The font will be copied and installed automaticaly to the fonts folder.

5.0 GO BACK TO CLEAN-UP.
Go to your "My Documents" and delete the empty zipped font shell and the font itself.
