The Amnicon River flows north to Lake Superior through Amnicon Falls State Park, dropping several times. The waterfalls named the Upper Falls, Lower Falls and The Now and Then Falls can be viewed from a platform by taking a short path off the road. Snake Pit Falls and some unnamed waterfalls are a short hike also. The waterfalls mostly freeze over in Winter, then the Spring thaw makes them very high-powered. In the Summer you can swim by the waterfalls. Click Thumbnails to Enlarge
