The Bible tells us that no one has ever seen a God like ours, who works for those who wait for him! He has prepared for us things that our eyes have never seen, our ears have never heard, and no mind has imagined. This is about Heaven, my Home. (Isa 64:4 1Cr 2:9) The Lord says…, “Look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth - so wonderful that no one will even think about the old one anymore.” God revealed to the apostle John, the new heaven and new earth in Revelation. John saw the holy city coming down from out of heaven. He compared it to a beautiful bride. (Isa 65:17 Rev 21:1 Rev 21:2) As God’s children, we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth. A world where everyone is right with God, a better place, a heavenly home. This new earth will belong to those who are gentle and lowly. (2Pe 3:13 Hbr 11:16 Mat 5:5) Jesus tells us there are many rooms in the Father's home, and He left to prepare a place for us there. He promised that when everything is ready he will come and get us, and we will always be with him wherever he is. (Jhn 14:2-3) Our weak mortal bodies will be changed into glorious bodies just like Jesus. We will rise with healing; we will be free, leaping with joy. The blind will see, the deaf will hear, the lame will leap like a deer, and those who cannot speak will shout and sing! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams will water the desert. We will find new strength. We will fly high on wings like eagles. We will run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. The streets of the city will be filled with boys and girls at play. The wolf and lamb will feed together. The lion will eat straw like the ox. Poisonous snakes will strike no more. In those days, no one will be hurt or destroyed. He will remove all of our sorrows, and there will be no more death or crying or pain. The old world and all its evils will be gone forever." (Phl 3:21 Mal 4:2 Isa 35:5 Isa 35:6 Isa 40:31 Zec 8:5 Isa 65:25 Rev 21:4) In heaven we will see everything with perfect clarity. Many of us will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven. God’s home will be with us; God himself will live with us. Nothing evil will be allowed to enter - only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life. (1Cr 13:12 Mat 8:11 Rev 21:3 Rev 21:27) This page doesn’t begin to reveal all of the wonderful aspects of Heaven found in God's word. It only serves as a reminder to keep our sights set on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at the right hand of God in the place of honor and power. (Colossians 3:1) Earth is the crossroad between heaven and hell. We can get a glimpse of heaven in the good times, and a glimpse of hell in the bad times. For christians earth is as close to hell as they'll ever get. For those who are not, earth is as close to heaven as they'll ever get.
