In Fond and Loving Memory Of My Mother, Frances "Forever In My Heart"
And to All the Military Moms, Wives, Moms of and Grandmoms of A Very Special Mother's Day Wish Goes Out to YOU!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY May 9, 2002
A mother is a very special person to be. And nothing can come close to a mother's love. It's a genuine and beautiful thing.
There have been many people who have expressed their sentiments about motherhood. I can only speak my heart here now.
Mom, though you are in
heaven, this is for you, and to all women who bear that "motherlove" in your heart. I say it this way, because not all of us were fortunate enough to have earned the title "Mother", but in our hearts we are almost as good. Be it as an aunt, a step-mom, a nanny, a nurse or a child service provider. For those women who love and cherish children as if they were her own or who had to take over the role, due to circumstances but were not born to it.
To all women of this nature, and to those who proudly bore a child,
God Bless All Mothers and Mothers of the Heart.

"My Mother planted seeds of faith and watered them with love" Alice Gray
I have many fond memories that I cherish. Mom was full of fun. She colored with me in my coloring
book; cut out paper dolls for me (she was so neat!); taught me how to hit the ball with the paddle (she was very good!); listened to my woes; soothed my aches and bandaged my bruises.

"No language can express the power and beauty and heroism and majesty of a mother's love." E. H. Chapin
She always knew what to say to make it feel better. She made things special. She loved all children. My friends loved talking to her. She had time to give. Her nature was that of a giver.
Sometimes, I got to teach her things but she always gave back more (smile).

"Mother love is that divine gift which comforts, purifies, and strengthens all who seek it."
Louisa May Alcott
Mom kept a cool head. Sometimes she gave too much of herself. But then, what is "too much" for a mother!!
I remember her as my bestest friend. Once, she handed me a cutting from the New York Daily News. It was something she found in the Ann Lander's newscolumn. She told me, "Rose, this is what you mean to me, what all of you mean to me." I still have it. There were three of us. I was the oldest. The article was about being the first, middle and last child. How you fit into a mother's heart. I, being the oldest, had to be more, at times; but, I was the first to come into my parent's life. This was special. It was also no less than being the middle or being last. We each bring different feelings to our parents, but also, we have our own special place. Mom, I'll never forget that moment. "Thank You". Yep, Mom...You had me down pat. (big smile)
Mom shared a lot with me. Being the only girl, I guess we had our women secrets. But she loved the boys. They sure got into more scrapes than I did but I sure had my moments as well. :-) Guess, we did keep her on her toes.
Grown, now as I am, I know the worth of what she taught me be it with advice, or by her actions that were impressed upon me. Nothing can compare to her love. I miss her but I know she's watching me and she still guides me. She's my star. She shines bright and winks down at me I know she has a smile!.
Mommy, you are the "Greatest"! Till we meet again.
With All My Love Forever and Always, Your Proud Daughter
Rosie
