 ~IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN~ If I had only known... That my last time with you Would be my last time with you, I would have watched you sleep longer I would have savored each breath you took And I would have loved you stronger.  If I had only known... That this time would be the last time, I would have told you that I Loved You, Though I know those words would scare you But, at least, you would have known If I had known... That the footsteps we made on the sand And the rocks that we skipped on the ocean Would be the last thing that we had together, I would have said to you that I will remember Every moment we are together If I had only known... That our hug would be the last hug, I would have held you closer and tighter And I would have whispered in your ear That I will always Love You. If I had only known... That when you drove away that day That I wouldn't see you for a long time, I would have chasen after you and stopped you And told you again that I Loved You And, If I had only known... That when we parted we would be where we are now, Far away and so distant with each other, I would have never had let you leave Not without letting you know that I remember All the beaches; All the rocks we sat on; All the time we shared; All the smells of the ocean, I remember everything And still now even yearn for you And I would never have let my Heart be so deeply touched If I had only known.....
