Cheap tickets require one to make sacrifices.
In my case it was a 6:15 am departure from SFO. So I had to get up before the crack of dawn to be at the airport early enough to suffer the check in procedures and security checks. When I got there the counter wasn’t even open yet, but I still was not the first in line. All went well, so off to the checkpoint. There I had to take off my belt, shoes and jacket, put my little plastic bag with tiny toiletries in a plastic tub..well..you know the routine.

I had to make a connection in Atlanta. This is a vast complex and one needs ample time to go from gate to gate. But as you can see from the pictures at the top I made it.
One thing, by the way, on the leg from SFO to ATL there was no meal service in coach. Whether one had a full fare or a cheap ticket, the motto was BYOF (bring your own food).
