May Snow in Ironwood
On May 7, 2010 we were surprised to get four inches of snow in Ironwood, Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This was especially unusual since we'd had very little accumulation in March and April. Total for the season was about 170 inches. Nancy took this photo of the front of our house. The crabapple tree on the right had already begun to blossom. By the end of the day, the snow on the tree was completely gone, but lingered on the bushes for three or four days.
