My Only Ocean
One day someone other than you
Will touch my heart and move my soul
Someone without your smile will look my way
And I will return the smile to them
But it won't be you.....

Someone else will kiss my lips
For the sake of love, to keep me warm
But it won't be you
You are my only ocean
Always to be the one

It won't be your arms enfolding my sleep
Or your laugh that echoes my own
Not you under the waves of emotion
My only sea, my only ocean
Just a single kiss, on the river of life

The rivers may swallow me
Drowning me with feeling
But it won't be you
Settled inside me, moving me on
It won't be our teardrop shed
