Crumbled Castles
Hold tight the mystery of the silky sands
All secrets like velvet stretching to sea
Sparkling under obscure shadows
Sands return timeless footprints
Under an embraced moon dance
At the edge of sweet dreams laden
Buried by crippled desire, the sands
Swept to winds of aimless longing
Sands of passive subtlety stare
Back to the moon of passion
Pushing the tide with relentless motion
Crumbled castles at last resurrected
Rock-forming minerals, like crystals
Carry the secrets of honored few
Who shaped the sand into castles?
Of volcanic glass for eternity
Hold tight the mystery of the quartz
Sands fall unnoticed through fingers
As natural as the wind that blows
As immortal as dusty illusions
