"IT'S THE VETERAN..."

It is the VETERAN , not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN , not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN , not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN , not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN , not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN , not the politician, Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN, who salutes the Flag..."

"The United States was founded upon God, prayer, and Godly principles... It is sad that, we, as a nation, have drifted so far from God and the truth!!"

From my friend, Barbara Carter.

The Christan Soldier

As surely as the young man or woman joins the Military Service of the United States of America, must take basic training, learning skills that they will need to defend, and protect themselves; and this great country. So is the person that sets their foot on the path to God and to work for God, and in God*s service, there is a period of studying; and training that will help them grow into strong mature Christians. The Christian not only begins with study and prayer, but continues to feed upon the Word of God as long as he lives if he/she desires a close walk with the Lord.

To live a Christian life it requires spiritual food daily just as one's physical body does to remain strong and capable of being a true Christian.

The Christian life isn't static, but ever progressing growth in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches us the things we must do to become good and faithful servants unto God.

Ephesians 6

10.   "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
11.   Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12.   For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13.   Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14.   Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15.   And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16.   Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17.   And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18.   Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19.   And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20.   For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."  KJV

2 Timothy 2:

1.   "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2.   And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
3.   Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4.   No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
5.   And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
6.   The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.
7.   Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
8.   Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
9.   Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
10.   Therefore I endure all things for the elect*s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11.   It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him:
12.   If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He also will deny us:
13.  If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful: He cannot deny Himself.
14.   Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15.   Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16.   But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
17.  And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18.   Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
19.   Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20.   But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21.   If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master*s use, and prepared unto every good work.
22.   Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23.   But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24.   And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25.   In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26.   And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will."  KJV

1 Thessalonians 4:

13. "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.
15. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." KJV
