AMERICA I LOVE

Thank you, God, for this dear land,
America I love.
For rolling hills and fertile plains,
For spacious skies above.

Thank you, God, for noble men
Who kept the vision clear,
To forge from that vast wilderness
This land we now hold dear.

For homes and schools and farmlands,
Factories great and small,
For the right to worship as we please,
The dearest gift of all.

May we not lose site, Oh God,
Caught up in power's thrust
That this great land was founded on
Faith and love and trust.

And may we daily kneel in prayer
Lifting thanks above,
For greatly you have blessed our land,
America I love.
