Hey Vel, this slideshow sure did bring back the memories of our vacation in the NE states. We were just talking about it the other day, We decided this was the best vacation we ever had, as far as the beauty and all the ground we covered, NY, Vt, NH and Maine.
The lonely road in Vt. looked so familiar, and the covered bridge, also we were on that Kangamangus Highway several times when we were exploring NH.

It was in late Sept, and early Oct. we were there and the leaves weren't quite in their full beauty yet, but enough.

We both said we would love to go back. No shows, no night life, just ate, and looked at all the beauty of the mountains, took a chair lift to the top at Lake Placid, also in Stowe to Mt, Mansfield, and took the North Cogway railroad to the top of Mt.Washington, the hightest mountain on the East Coast, and also went to Bar Harbor and took a bus tour up and around the Arcadia Nat'l Park. Oh man, it makes your heart ache when you think of the beauty right here in our own country. The splendor of the panoramic views, You have to see it. I know there are so many places like it that would be wonderful to visit. I think if we all just open our eyes and look at what is around us, we realize how blessed we are.
