Well I almost got all the pictures I want to publish at Webshots. So I have something to tell and show.
Originally the cruise was going to be the whole family Caro, me, Leigh
and her family (5), David and his family (4), Misty and her husband.
Total 13. Well with one thing and another like jobs and fear of travel
and really bad wheels it ended up just me and my two daughters. As usual
God knew exactly what was best. I had and I think the girls ( 8^) ) had
an absolutely wonderful time. The sights we saw and the things we did
were staggering. The next time you heard some American moaning about how
hard life is tell him to go to the Carribean. Our homeless have an
easier life. In Puerto Rico we boarded a ATR 300. I expected the wings to flap it looked so small. The pilot was awesome. I didn't know we had landed in Grenada until the plane stopped. We were stopped and inspected several times in each airport. Nothing out of the ordinary. Some random people got really searched. I carried a back pack and a soft briefcase, Misty carried on her suitcase, Leigh checked her baggage and only carried a purse. Misty and I learned better for the return trip. The Airbus is like a cattle car. Eight seats wide (6 on one side) and at least 35 rows long. Moooooo! I really dreaded flying that thing on the return trip. We got to the ship (YANKEE CLIPPER) at about 10 pm their time. Eight pm Houston time. Spent te night on the ship. Little cabins with S.S.S. head (more later about this feature) but I had hard time sleeping. Was walking around the deck at 3 am when this short bulky man came on board and we talked about 20 minutes. Told him my cabin was too f..k..g hot with no air movement. Found out next day he was our Captain. His web site is http://www.captneil.com/index.htmHe turned out to be a completely wondefully bawdy Scottish sea captain who told the dirtiest funny jokes every morning.
