Stephen Chipman Howlett was born in Hubbardston, Mass. on January 20, 1937. He was the son of Foster L. and Edna (Mawhinnie) Howlett. He died at the age of 76 on June 25, 2013 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following an illness. Steve was married for 36 years to Therese (Stone) Howlett and they lived in Baldwinville, Mass. When they lived in Gardner, Steve and Terry hosted the annual Howlett Family Reunion. Besides his wife, Steve left three sons: Greg, Tim and S. Foster Howlett; four daughters: Michele Boudreau, Denise Chapman, Melissa Sargent, and Stephanie Wiseman; and five siblings: Nancy Murdock, Thomas Howlett, Pauline Joubert, Douglas Howlett and John Howlett.
