MORE CATS
Charm, so named because of her charmed life. We rescued her from a bum living across the street. He had been evicted, so he threw her out too. She was declawed and unable to defend herself. Ah well, what's one more cat?
Binks, our resident Halloween cat. Solid black, he was named after the cat in the movie "Hocus Pocus".
Robbie. He came to us an orphan of Hurricane Fran. Only about 2 wks old, he was bottle fed, and still considers me to be his "mom".
YAWNNNNNNNN! I think Robbie's ready for a little nappy time.
Chomper. She was found with her 3 littermates at the Hunt Horse Complex in Raleigh, NC, running wild. I had to snatch each kitten by the knape of the neck through some bushes in order to catch them. When I reached down to grab Chomps, she looked up, opened her mouth, and I stuck my finger in her mouth. Being wild and scared, she bit down, thus earning her undignified name. Most of our cats name themselves through their looks, actions, or circumstances.
Tiffany, Queen cat of the house. Tiff was the only survivor of a litter badly infested with fleas. Her mother abandoned her and I had to bathe her every day from the age of 2 wks. old and bottle feed her. She also thinks I am her mom. She has SOME attitude. Must be the Siamese in her (as evidenced by her blue eyes).
The 3 faces of Tiffany
"HELLO!"
"OOOOH! WHAT'S THAT?"
"OH, NEVER MIND, I DON"T CARE ANYWAY."
Banshee, so named due to yowling at the top of her lungs when she was picked up as a kitten. She is much quieter now, except for when Binks teases her. I think he likes to hear her squall! Just wish he wouldn't choose 3 a.m. to pick on her! She is another of our blue eyed pets.
Tappy. She is the mom and grandmom of many of our cats. Of the cats previously pictured, she is grandma to Demi, Binks & Tiffany. Hmm, in this pic she seems to have a real affection for my truck bumper. Oh well, who am I to question a cat's taste.
Romeo & Hitler, 2 of Tappy's great- grandsons. Can you tell which one is Hitler, and why he earned his name?
"Hey dog! Get out of this scene! This is the cats only page!" says Hitler to Dusty, who appears to be complying as fast as he can!
Here's the "herd". This is the sight that used to greet me every morning when I'd get home from work. I'd have to wade my way carefully through our ocean of cats just to get in the door! Funny, after I'd feed up, it'd be easy to get in or out of the house! These guys (and girls) ate about 20 lbs. of dry cat food a week.
