Edna Augusta Mawhinnie was born in Winchendon, MA, on August 5, 1907, to Nellie Centennial (Derby) and (Mansfield) Chipman Mawhinnie. She had two brothers (Edgar and Clayton) and two sisters (Elsie and Phoebe). She married Foster Lawton Howlett and had 7 living children: Nancy, Andrew, Thomas, Stephen, Pauline, Douglas, and John. At age 52, she died suddently at work, of a massive cerebral hemorrhage and extreme hypertension. |
